Curiosity has a way of taking us to unexpected places, right? One of the most fascinating innovations in surfboard design, the Bonzer, owes its existence to the curiosity of the Campbell Brothers.

The core idea behind the Bonzer system is to optimize water flow efficiency. By designing a unique combination of fins and bottom contours that work in perfect synergy, the system maximizes the energy generated as water passes through the tail of the board, creating a faster, more responsive ride.

This particular fin is crafted to work seamlessly with any Bonzer surfboard, enhancing its performance and giving you the perfect balance of speed and control.

Thanks for staying curious.

A BIT OF HISTORY

The Bonzer is a revolutionary surfboard design created by the Campbell Brothers—Malcolm and Dale—who were surfers and innovators from Santa Barbara, California. In the 1970s, driven by curiosity and a passion for hydrodynamics, they developed the Bonzer, a surfboard with a unique three-fin setup (one larger center fin and two smaller side fins) and a V-shaped concave bottom. This design was engineered to optimize water flow, providing more speed, stability, and control by allowing water to move efficiently through the tail of the board.

Though initially not widely adopted, the Bonzer gained a following for its ability to deliver a smooth, fast ride, particularly in hollow waves. Over the years, it has influenced modern surfboard design and is still respected today for its performance and innovative approach to surfboard hydrodynamics.

SINGLE FIN

What's like surfing a single fin?

Riding a single fin is an experience that feels smooth, fluid, and grounded, with a deep connection to the rhythm of the wave. It's a style of surfing that prioritizes flow, style, and nostalgia, taking you back to the roots of surfing where things were simpler and more about enjoying the ride than performing technical maneuvers.

This doesn't mean that if the board or the conditions requires it you can't add some side bites. We have designed a set of side bites to help you surf with more control.
